You can upload all types of files to Scribes apart from
executable files (such as program files or scripts.) |

Yes. We have a large 10mb file transfer capability,
so a dissertation will upload with no problems at all. |

to send to Scribes, should I upload them on one upload
form? |

No. We would recommend that if the files are large you
complete 3 separate upload forms. This will ensure a safe
upload to our server. |

No. It’s a completely free service. |

When do I pay for my printing? |
| |
Printing is paid for upon collection. Although new users
may be contacted via telephone to confirm their order
before it is printed. |

Why is the upload service
better than emailing files to Scribes? |

When you email a file to Scribes, you have no guarantee
that we have received your order. Email servers may limit
the size of the files that you send and also be very slow. |

Will I receive a confirmation
if my upload is successful? |

Yes. You will see a message displayed in your browser
confirming your upload was successful and also receive
an email in receipt for your uploaded file/document. |

Will I be contacted when
my order is ready? |

Yes, you will automatically be emailed telling you the
status of your print order. |

How long will my printing
take? |

This depends on the specification of your job. Most
small jobs are turned around within 1 hour of receipt
during a normal working day. If you have a large print
order please contact us by telephone before uploading
it to confirm the estimated turn around time. |

number on the upload form? |

The telephone number may be used to confirm your order
details. |

What do I put in the
description field on the upload form? |
| |
This is where you put the full description of your requirements.
For example quantity required, type of material to be
used, colour or monochrome printing, binding or any finishing
required, etc |

Can Scribes control who
uploads to their site? |

At the moment a password is not required to upload to
Scribes. However if you abuse our service in any way your
IP address and other details will be banned from uploading
any further files to Scribes. |

Is my file safe? |
| |
Our server is backed up every 24 hours. But we always
recommend that clients keep a back up copy of their files
on their own computer until the order is completed. |
